Generally, a person may obtain a copy of a document that has been filed in an appeal by contacting the Clerk of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Tax Court. Fees are charged for copying and mailing documents.
Access to particular documents may be limited or restricted if they contain confidential information or a court has ordered the document sealed. The Indiana Rules on Access to Court Records address public access to, and confidentiality of, court records. More discussion about public access to court records can be found in the Public Access to Court Records Handbook.
Some Supreme Court orders and all opinions can be found online.
